حوالي الساعة الثالثة والثلث من بعد ظهر اليوم أمس، اندلع حريق في ساحة تجميع الخردة في حرم الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت. ولقد تعاون فريق الاستجابة للطوارئ مع مكتب الحماية والامن ودائرة صيانة الأملاك والمباني في الجامعة وبعض طلاب الجامعة وموظفيها مع فوج الإطفاء في بيروت والدفاع المدني اللبناني لإخماد الحريق. لحسن الحظ، لم يبلّغ عن جرحى أو إصابات والأضرار المادية محدودة فقط. ما زالت التحقيقات مستمرّة لتحديد السبب الأساسي للحريق.
Around 3:20 pm today, a fire broke out at the scrapyard on the American University of Beirut campus. The AUB Emergency Response Team, Office of Protection, and Physical Plant Department as well as some AUB students and staff members collaborated with the Beirut Fire Brigade and Lebanese Civil Defense to put out the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties reported, and only moderate material damage. Investigations are ongoing to identify the root cause.
